In Florida, Pretrial Intervention (PTI), sometimes also called Pretrial Diversion, is a diversionary program operated by the Office of the State Attorney to resolve specific criminal cases, including misdemeanors and felonies, without handling through the traditional judicial process of plea or trial and sentence. This program is available to first-time offenders or individuals with a minimal prior record.
